I found myself a newly retired senior and decided to sit back and take a long look at the world about me. It seemed that many miracles had taken place during my lifetime that eased the burdens of illness and comfort for humanity and that many were still in growing pains but almost about to burst upon the waiting world. The problem was clearer to me than the countless claims and counter claims of this sort of "snake oil salesmanship". There is an unending deluge of information on the tube and elsewhere on pills and gadgets and who knows what to extend life. This applies to all age groups and genders and has become a great "windfall" to dishonest money hungry vultures preying on weakness and fears. One fine day I hit upon this project which would allow laymen with no "irons in the fire" to join together to pursue these paths to health and life extension. One thing which I have observed is what is becoming a clear is that there is a definite wedge being forged between the generations. Sometimes I sit back and amaze myself as to the way I feel at the age I have attained (unfortunately many others are burdened by nasty illnesses of either genetic or lifestyle results).

The Aging Process
Scientific studies have shown that by the age of 40, most adults have significantly altered levels of several essential hormones. These lower hormone levels contribute to slow but steady lapses in memory, and diminished sexual drive and activity. These symptoms of aging become more noticeable as the years pass by.

Research during the last decade has lead us to a new definition of the term "healthy". Being really healthy in this expanded sense of the word means living with the energy and vitality of someone many years younger; which in turn adds life to our years and years to our lives. We have been taught from childhood that "In unity there is strength". That remained in my mind. The theory that we recipients of all this confusing supposedly beneficial hardware. Now is the time to step back and take a "collective" look see!

Many reading my words would love to take that long walk or join a gym but have to think of that lonely road or busy workout area as stumble about. Now you can put those fears out of your mind for we will always be at your side. Glancing down at my children and grandchildren, I know they also need guidance and encouragement to stay the course. That is why we have "Strata" or levels of events so that none will be left out of our quest. Let's not start the journey with a single step but a collective, sure footed one.

You see, in my opinion there is NOTHING wrong with wanting to live for as long as possible on this planet. For those who are religious, their belief is that after death they will be spending all of eternity in heaven. So each and every moment living as a mortal being on earth is very important, because we are only here for so short a period of time. Because of that fact, I think it is VERY important that everyone try and live for as long as possible.

One thing I think we need to help people realize is that even if the aging process is totally reversed, we will not be "immortal". We will still be capable of dying, but perhaps just not by old age.

Usually when I talk to someone I know about all the potential anti-aging therapies that are being developed, they approve of them very quickly after I explain to them that when it is their time to die, God will still be able to take them. But instead of a long, horrible, dragged out experience in a nursing home or hospital, it will probably be from an accident of some sort.
